Job Overview
Responsibilities:
Construct formwork and molds according to architectural and engineering plans to facilitate the pouring of concrete.
Install and secure formwork, ensuring proper alignment, levelness, and stability.
Cut, shape, and fit wood, plywood, and other materials to create formwork and molds as required.
Assemble and fasten materials using hand tools, screws, nails, and other fasteners.
Collaborate with the concrete team to coordinate the pouring and curing of concrete within the formwork.
Remove formwork after concrete has set, taking care not to damage the concrete structure.
Inspect and repair formwork and molds as needed to ensure their proper functionality and durability.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, reporting any defects or issues to supervisors.
Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter or in a similar carpentry role, with a minimum of [X] years of experience.
In-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools used in formwork construction.
Ability to interpret and work from architectural and engineering plans.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Strong understanding of safety practices and protocols related to carpentry and construction work.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry is a plus.
