Job Overview
Responsibilities:
Coffee Craftsmanship: Showcase your expertise in preparing a variety of coffee and tea beverages with precision and artistry. Train and mentor junior baristas to elevate their skills.
Menu Development: Collaborate with management to curate and update the coffee and beverage menu, introducing new flavors and seasonal specialties.
Quality Control: Ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality of all beverages served. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the coffee preparation area.
Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and supervise the barista team. Schedule shifts, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to maintain a smooth workflow.
Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their preferences and offer personalized recommendations. Address any customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment. Arrange for repairs and maintenance as needed.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies. Place orders to ensure availability and minimize wastage.
Training Programs: Develop training programs for new and existing baristas, covering brewing techniques, customer service, and product knowledge.
Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new brewing methods, and emerging coffee bean varieties.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a barista, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Passion for Coffee: A deep appreciation for coffee and an understanding of different brewing methods, bean origins, and flavor profiles.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent organizational and delegation skills.
Creativity: Ability to create unique and innovative coffee beverages while respecting traditional recipes.
Customer-Focused: Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring each guest receives a personalized and positive experience.
Communication: Strong communication skills in English are required. Additional language skills, especially Arabic, are a plus.
Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing customer preferences and trends.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous in maintaining quality standards and presentation.
Knowledge of Coffee Equipment: Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment. Knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous.
